First trip of our summer season we had Dan out one of our regulars, he said its been a tough winter for you guys up here! We caught bait and headed out into Raritan Bay. We started out live lining Dan caught a nice fish with the first bait that hit the water in the 20 pound range. Then had lots of fish blowing up on baits and chasing them around but not committing nice size fish too pretty frustrating. Anchoring up chunking yielded much more hook ups with shorts and keepers mixed in. Hopefully live lining will start picking up as it gets a little warmer lots of fish around throughout Sandy Hook Bay and Raritain Bay.
